Where have I been? - I've only watched John Q. Some of the others I know about, but haven't been drawn to watch them. Thanks for the reviews, I'll give them a second thought.

Thanks for your comment Lady E. These aren't really the draw crowds kinda movies,(with the exception of Avatar and Karate Kid of course). I didn't want to put up popular films. I wanted to put up films I felt were inspiring and others that were funny but had a simple yet important message.

Some of MY favorites are in your list Jay, like Pay it Forward and A Beautiful Mind. And while I LOVE Denzel and will see him in anything he stars in, John Q was a little unbelievable in parts. The Karate Kid remake was excellent! And I agree with Pat, Ghost Dog is a superior, "thinking person's" movie.

Congrats! Looks like you beat out your Hubnugget competition. Looking forward to reading more of your hubs.

Hi Jay,

Great list, I didn't see all the movies, but The one that I really resonate with is The Pursuit of Happyness. Will Smith's, Father son, speech is really inspiring "You want something. Go get it. Period." I think that sooner or later every peorson will encounter a crisis in his life. How you meet it will determine your future happiness and success. Since the beginning of time, everyone has been called upon to meet such a crisis. Close scrutiny will show you that most "crisis situations" are opportunities to either advance or stay where you are. Indeed, most changes in your life will be due to either "inspiration" or "desperation." Another great list that I want to recommend: http://www.manifestingreality.com/category/inspira

All the best,

Sharon
