The Game : A Neo-noir psychological thriller film directed by David Fincher, starring Michael Douglas, featuring Sean Penn.  It tells the story of an investment banker who is given a mysterious gift by his younger brother: participation in a game that integrates in strange ways with his life. As the lines between the banker's real life and the game become more uncertain, there are hints of a large a conspiracy, and Michael Douglas character fights to find out the truth behind what is going on.

Frailty :  Psychological thriller film directed by and starring Bill Paxton, and co-starring Matthew McConaughey. The plot focuses on the strange relationship between two young boys and their father, who believes that he has been commanded by God to kill demons. He calls upon his sons to help him do so.

HIGH TENSION (Haute Tension) : French horror film that was later released 2005 in the United States and Canada. The film, directed by Alexandre Aja, stars Cécile de France, Maïwenn Le Besco and Philippe Nahon. The film is about a psychopath whom goes around terrorizing and killing anyone and anything he pleases. An endless non-stop thrill ride, the absolute definition of a true horror film.

American Beauty: A 1999 drama film directed by Sam Mendes. Kevin Spacey (Lester Burnham), a middle-aged office worker who has a midlife crisis when he becomes infatuated with his teenage daughter's beautiful best friend, Angela (Mena Suvari). Annette Bening co-stars as Lester's materialistic, self absorbed wife, Carolyn, and Thora Birch plays their insecure daughter.

Infernal Affairs: A 2002 Hong Kong crime-thriller film directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak. It tells the story of a police officer who infiltrates the Triads, and a police officer secretly working for the same Triad gang.  Both the Triad mole within the police force, and the undercover police officer within the Triad gang, fight to discover one another’s identity in.

Righteous Kill:  2008 crime thriller film directed by Jon Avnet, and starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. The two great names are reason enough to watch.

The Crying Game: 1992 classic drama film written and directed by Neil Jordan. The film is about the main character, Fergus' (Stephen Rea), who experiences as a member of the IRA, his brief but meaningful encounter with Jody (Forest Whitaker) who is held prisoner by the group, and his unexpected romantic relationship with Jody's girlfriend, Dil (Jaye Davidson) whom Fergus promised Jody he would protect.

Gothika: 2003 Paranormal thriller, directed by Mathieu Kassovitz and written by Sebastian Gutierrez. Halle Berry plays a psychiatrist in a women's mental hospital whom wakes up one day to find herself on the other side of the bars, accused of having murdered her husband without having any recollection of having had did so.

Primal Fear: A1996 film directed by Gregory Hoblit which tells the story of a defense attorney, Martin Vail (Richard Gere), who defends an altar boy, Aaron Stampler (Edward Norton), charged with the murder of a Catholic archbishop.

Matchstick Men: 2003 drama film directed by Ridley Scott. Based on Eric Garcia's novel Matchstick Men: A Novel about Grifters with Issues (2002), the motion picture stars Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell, and Alison Lohman. The film is about a con man with numerous disorders and tics and his partner in crime. He soon finds out that he has a daughter he never knew about and begins a relationship with her.

The Others: The film is set in the British Crown Dependency of Jersey, Grace Stewart (Nicole Kidman) is a Catholic mother who lives with her two small children in a country house. The children, Anne (Alakina Mann) and Nicholas (James Bentley), have an uncommon disease characterized by photosensitivity. Their lives are structured around a series of complex rules designed to protect them from inadvertent exposure to sunlight.

The Usual Suspects : 1995 Neo-noir film written by Christopher McQuarrie and directed by Bryan Singer. It stars Stephen Baldwin, Gabriel Byrne, Benicio del Toro, Chazz Palminteri, Kevin Pollak and Kevin Spacey. The film follows the interrogation of Roger "Verbal" Kint, a small-time con man who is one of only two survivors of a massacre and fire on a ship docked at the Port of Los Angeles. He tells the interrogator a story about the events that led him and four other criminals to the boat, and of a mysterious mob boss known as Keyser Söze who commissioned their work. Using flashback and narration, Kint's story becomes increasingly complex.

The Hangover : 2009 Comedy film directed by Todd Phillips. The film is written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore It stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha and Jeffrey Tambor, The plot follows four friends who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, only to wake up the next morning not remembering a thing and unaware of the whereabouts of the groom, whose wedding is scheduled to occur the very next day. The film was inspired by the filmmakers' real-life misadventures.

No Way Out : 1987 Film, It stars Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman and Sean Young. The thriller film is about a U.S. Naval officer investigating a Washington, D.C. murder while fighting to keep his relationship with the victim of the murder a secret.

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back : 1980 Epic space opera film directed by Irvin Kershner. The screenplay, based on a story by George Lucas, was written by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan. While Luke takes advanced with his Jedi training from Yoda, his friends are relentlessly pursued by Darth Vader as part of his plan to capture Luke and place him alongside the dark force.

Fight Club: 1999 film was directed by David Fincher and stars Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter. Norton plays the unnamed protagonist, an "everyman" who is discontented with his white-collar job in American society. He forms a "fight club" with soap salesman Tyler Durden, played by Pitt, and becomes embroiled in a relationship with him and a dissolute woman, Marla Singer, played by Bonham Carter. He becomes something more than what he once felt he was. More in tune, more alive.

Layer Cake: The film centers on a cocaine distributor played by Daniel Craig. The character, who also narrates the film, is deliberately unnamed throughout, but is listed in the credits as "XXXX". XXXX has established a successful business man in London buying, cutting, and selling cocaine while avoiding the largesse and gangster behavior associated with drug dealing. Having made his fortune, he plans to retire from the business for good.

Field of Dreams: 1989 American drama-sports-fantasy film.
